(History, after watching protest footage from the 1960's.)
Student 1: Why did people call the police "pigs?"
Professor: Good question. That became very common during the civil rights movement. Class? Can any of you answer that?
Student 2: Because they killed and ate black people!
(Entire class goes silent. Nobody says anything for a full 30 seconds.)
Professor: Well...no...that's not it. Anyone else?
(Class is still silent. Finally an older woman who just came back to school raises her hand and answers in a smug, "I can't believe nobody else knows this" voice.)
Student 3: Because they squealed like pigs while they planted evidence.
